Kid's Bathroom Tile Renovation Details

So I've given you a couple sneak peaks of what we've been working on, but I wanted to back up a few steps and show you exactly what we've been dealing with.

Without further ado, I present to you our bathroom before, untouched:

The floor is (was!) a vinyl linoleum which is a fine option for some folks and can truly look good if you pick the right color, quality, etc.  Unfortunately, this linoleum was making us cringe every time we walked into this bathroom.  There were several spots that were peeling up plus, the pattern and color was just not our thing.

Garage Entrance Door Update

I recently decided to something bold and daring.  But, it faces into the garage so it doesn't really give me too many points.  Our garage entrance into the kitchen hadn't been touched in all of the garage updating & organizing.  This door is notoriously the most filthy no matter what.  There were always shoe scuffs and dirty little finger marks.  So, I painted it BLACK!

Here's the before and after:

Garage Goodies

I promised a bigger picture of how the garage is turning out after attempting to once and for all get this area organized (or at least until the next big project wrecks this place).

Oh, this dreaded before shot... Obviously we don't normally live with a pile of lumber in the center of our garage.  However, we did somehow manage to live without a single hook on the wall!  If you're living in a hook-less garage, stop the madness!

Let the Caulk Jokes Begin...

This weekend was all about caulk around our house.  It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it!  Okay, it's not really that dirty... Let's just start over.  Everybody get their minds out of the gutter.

We had some pretty good cracks in our caulk around our house.  Why this happens? I have no idea.  We just know it looks bad and needs to be fixed.  Pronto.

The re-caulking started at the baseboards for the stairs.  Check out that crack!
