Friday Find: Mint Chocolate

If you know me at all, you know that I have a problem.  It's an addiction, really.  I can't get enough of mint & chocolate together!  It's just so good!  Below are some of my all time favorite Mint & Chocolate combinations!  Feel free to send large amounts of any of these to my door step.  If you're sending any of the ice cream or coffee though, ring the door bell so they don't melt/get cold. ;)

I found some amazing recipes that I am so eager to try and I wanted to share with you, too!  Thin Mint Brownies.  I am nervous make these because I may never make "regular" brownies ever again.  And that would be a-okay with me!  But possibly not the rest of my family.

Friday Find: Kid's Bathroom Ideas

I left you last time with the sneak peak of what has been consuming our time the last two days.  Well, I'm happy to report that we are done tiling and grouting.  Unfortunately, the really "fun stuff" is yet to come.  You know, putting baseboards back up, painting the walls, changing out the exhaust fan, lights, faucets....

Martha Stewart suggested sewing a loop of ribbon to a towel to help kids hang them up.  This could be a great idea for the long wall in our bathroom?!

Friday Find: I'm Dreaming of a White...

source, source, sourcesource
I'm Dreaming of a White KITCHEN! I really hope you didn't think I was going to say Christmas! (Although, I hope it'll be snowing on Christmas... I'm just not done with having a summer, yet!)  These kitchens look so open, bright, and beautiful.  I know for sure the top two pictures had old or dark cabinets.  They are such amazing transformations.  Be sure to check both of those out!  The bottom two are simply gorgeous.  I wasn't able to find before pictures, so I'm assuming those lucky kitchens were just born with amazing, good looks!  (So jealous!)

Friday Find: Water Features

Every once in a while, I get this super strong urge to do a project and nothing can stop me.  The bug is hitting again and I've been drooling over these super cool fountains.

Lowes
HomeTalk
SunSet
I don't know... Maybe I will be able to convince the husband that we need one.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Any fun projects on your to-do list?

Friday Find: Collage Wall

Today's "Friday Find" wasn't hard to find.  This is my mom's creation that she recently hung up.  Don't you just love a good collage wall?!

Friday Find: End of Bed Bench

Today's Friday Find is this awesome picnic bench turned "End of Bed Bench" from remodelaholic.  We have been talking about getting a bench for the end of our bed for a long time but I haven't been able to settle on a design that I liked.  With a picnic bench, you could either get really lucky and find a cool one at a flea market or get to building in your garage!

Ps. Be sure to stop by OurFifthHouse where Carmel featured the playset we built!! What an honor!!

Friday Find: Play Outdoors!

I'm drooling over this swing set.  And so is my almost three year old!  Yes, Yes, Yes, Please!!

This set was built by a sweet blogger's dad.  Unfortunately there aren't too many details on how to construct this yourself, but it looks like just enough inspiration to make your own plans.  What do you say, dear husband?

You can find her blog Here!

On a separate note, my little brother is turning 23 today!  I don't know how that is possible.  Happy Birthday, Eric!  I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with him and the rest of my family this weekend.  Hope everyone enjoys their weekend, too!

Friday Find

Hello! And welcome to Friday! Finally! I mentioned that my mom and I ventured to Ikea.  One of my goals was to find (nonexistent) spice racks. I was planning on putting them in the big girl room for her books, but apparently that was just not in my cards.  Back to the drawing board... (or Pinterest board).

Trip to Ikea

My mom, the kids, and I made a trip to Ikea.  232 miles round trip.  My kids may be the most incredibly patient kids, ever.  They may also never willingly step foot into a vehicle ever again.  I feel guilty even telling you that the kids were on their very best behavior throughout the entire store.  Even when we went for a 30 minute wild goose chase for spice racks that did. not. exist.  Yup, not a one in the store.

Aaaaanyway, here are a few treasures we came home with.

Pillow covers, dish towels, a roll of paper, and some frames.  Separately all of these things look pretty boring.  Well, and they might be.  But I certainly do have some big plans for those little frames (I'll share that soon).  Unfortunately, there's always use for dish towels, too.

Friday Find

I'm drooling over these doors.  I'd love to figure out a way to incorporate something like these in our basement (whenever we get around to starting & finishing it).  How about a way to close off the laundry room?  I'm thinking, yes!

Bi-Folding Doors
They would be beautiful closed to keep the laundry noise at a minimum while hanging out or watching television.  But they'd also open nice and wide to be able to show off how lovely (I hope) the laundry room will end up being.

So what do you think?  Are you loving these doors as much as I am?
