I'm amazed that in just 7 weeks our vegetable garden goes from looking like this to that!
Before this garden, I never understood what sorts of joys come with planting and growing a garden. I never found any enjoyment trying to figure out what was a weed and what was a desirable plant.
Now, I can't help but to walk past the garden multiple times throughout the day. I'm still not entirely sure what I'm looking for or at, but just knowing that these vegetables are literally growing before my eyes is such an achievement!
All of the plants are looking great except for one. My broccoli!
What the heck, broccoli?! I have no idea what's making a meal out of my crop! Apparently, I will now have to be a farmer and a detective (and an exterminator!). There are my aspects of gardening that are frustrating to me... but I have a feeling my crops getting destroyed by pesky critters will be at the top of the list.
Any ideas what could be causing this or what I could do help Mr. Broccoli out? Let me know!
Janice
This might help. http://www.vegetable-gardening-made-simple.com/growing-broccoli-02.html Good luck! I've never grown broccoli.
ReplyDeleteThis website is great! Thank you. I looked for worms on the broccoli leaves today but didn't see anything... I think I may go out with a flashlight tonight :)
