We have been knee deep in framing out our basement to finish it so I've been a little preoccupied with measuring and cutting 2x4s while Bryan nails them into place. We're in the final steps of that mess so we've been tackling the soffits. If anybody has ever had the pleasure of building a soffit, you know that it's a pain in the rear! However, that doesn't mean in any spare minute I have I'm not trying to get our home ready for Spring!
I was able to put this Pinwheel Wreath together in about 45 minutes with the help of my Silhouette Machine. This project could easily be done with scissors though, instead.
I made a ton of pin wheels using one sided printed paper. In order to make them pretty on all sides, I ended up doubling up the paper and folding the two plain sides together. You could easily make your process go much quicker by just using double sided printed paper. But, I was using what I had around... and it ended up working! I thought I'd have to glue the two pieces together so the tips of the pinwheel would stay together but they stayed nice just by using a paper brad through the middle.
A dab of hot glue on the back of each then pressed to a grapevine wreath and my quick project was complete! It brought a huge punch of color to our front door!
And big or little projects going on in your home? Ohio received snow flurries yesterday. Is your temperature gage showing that it's Spring, yet? Or are you all bundled up still? It can't long, Ohio!!
